Outrage as Renowned South African DJ Shot Dead in Johannesburg.
A prominent South African radio and club DJ has been fatally gunned down in the metropolis of Johannesburg, causing national outrage across a nation battling persistent crime.
Warrick Stock, who went by the name DJ Warras, was attacked in the central business district on the afternoon of Tuesday.
Police said the 40-year-old presenter was confronted by a trio of assailants, one of whom began shooting at him before escaping on foot.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear and no one has been arrested are in custody, as per the official statement.
How It Happened
Authorities said that Stock was targeted as he was leaving a building near the city center landmark.

"Authorities believe the man was approached by three unknown suspects after he parked his car, and they began shooting at him before fleeing the scene on foot," authorities stated.
Security camera video showed a man with dreadlocks and clad in what appeared to be a security uniform firing shots on Stock before making his escape.
The DJ attempted to flee after he was shot but collapsed across the street.
Officials noted that Stock had an weapon on his person and nothing was taken during the assault.
