Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, demons, and sinister influences growing in influence within the urban setting.
Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 are included.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of heroes who will separate from the main group to undertake their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor (played by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
Given an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.
Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might seem mismatched, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
First, the group understands precisely where to go next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.
Casimir then settled his obligations and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each character has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous place.
- The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
- However, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the group access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
- The warrior and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.
This means them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in quest for Casimir.
