Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Athlete of the Year award.

These three athletes have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.

This year's winner will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.

The event will be televised from 7 PM GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.

These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
